Favorite Candy Memory Contest

What’s your favorite “candy memory?”

It might be the way you sorted your trick-or-treat candy…or the candy wax lips you wore to school one day…or maybe the chocolate candy bar your Dad bought for you after your first-ever ball game. Whatever the special memory, the National Confectioners Association would like to hear from you.

“Everyone has a favorite candy memory,” explains Larry Graham, president of the National Confectioners Association. “Candy is such a fun part of our lives, especially for kids. It lends itself to all kinds of great experiences and warm memories.”

Twelve top candy memories will be selected to be displayed on the National Confectioner’s Association web site and the chosen entrants will each receive a candy cooler filled with their favorite nostalgic candies, an “It’s Candy Time!” shirt and “lolliclock” clock.

Entries will be judged based on their overall appeal and expression of the experience the entrant had with candy as a child. Entrants should describe their favorite candy memory in 200 words or less. Each entry must include the entrant’s name, address, phone number and e-mail address (if available). Entry deadline is March 1, 2004.
